UPCOMING PARENTING CLASSES

  • Dates:

    Most classes are once per week for 16 weeks, unless otherwise noted.

  • Location:

    In-person classes take place at Any Baby Can in Austin. Virtual classes are also available.

  • Fees:

    All classes are offered at no charge.

     

Nurturing Families Group Classes

Group classes offer a judgement-free space to learn, share experiences, and discuss challenges. Classes are at the same time and place each week, and are offered in English and Spanish.

Fatherhood Parenting Classes

Fatherhood classes are offered in partnership with Goodwill Central Texas' Fatherhood Works initiative. Any Baby Can instructors use the Nurturing Fathers Program to help dads and father figures build strong relationships with their kids.

Ready for Baby: Childbirth Preparation

This four-week virtual series is free and walks you through everything you need to know about childbirth and newborn care. You’ll come away empowered to make decisions about your pregnancy, labor, birth and parenting.

Topics include:

  • Signs of early labor and when to call your doctor or midwife
  • Comfort measures and medical intervention
  • Breastfeeding benefits and methods
  • What to expect in recovery and post-partum
  • Newborn care

One of the best ways to help you child grow, learn and have healthy relationships is by investing in your parenting skills. Working on how you parent can feel like another chore to add to your already full plate. But once you start seeing the benefits, it’ll feel worth it!

Any Baby Can’s Family Education Program (FEP) provides parenting and childbirth classes that give parents the tools, skills and confidence to raise a healthy family.

Any Baby Can is a proud provider of the Nurturing Families Program®, an evidence-based model proven to increase positive parenting behaviors such as a parent's sense of self-worth, attachment, empowerment and appropriate disciplinary practices.

Services

  • 16-week* Nurturing Parenting classes that foster positive parenting skills, promote healthy physical and emotional bonding, and teach appropriate developmental expectations
  • 4-week childbirth preparation classes
  • Virtual/online classes available
  • Childcare available for select classes

*The 16-week parenting classes can fulfill court-mandated training requirements.
