- Commitment to service – Years of service and accomplishments during tenure.
- Passion for work – Enthusiasm, resilience, positive attitude and engagement.
- Passion for clients – Client testimonials, commitment to families’ needs
This year, 14 employees were nominated for the Ruth Wells Award. And the winner is…
Isabel Cobo
Isabel Cobo is a longtime member of the Any Baby Can team having joined the Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECI) as an Early Intervention Specialist nearly 20 years ago. If you’ve met Isabel (or “Cobo” as many of her colleagues call her), you’ve felt her positive energy and joy of life. A dedicated problem solver, she goes above and beyond for her clients and colleagues. In addition to being an incredibly dedicated Case Manager and Early Intervention Specialist, Isabel serves as a mentor to her team. She shares her knowledge and expertise by leading training opportunities and being willing to carve out time in her day to answer questions on a one-on-one basis.
When ECI expanded to Llano, Blanco and Hays counties, Isabel began taking cases in Llano, assisted in performing outreach activities, and developed resource lists to provide options for families. Her clients know that they have someone on their side when they’re with .
“I’ve known Cobo for many years and she has grown so much. But what she brings today is the same positive attitude that she’s had since day one. She makes time for the children and caregivers we serve, and has made a big difference in their lives. Not only with the families but with community partners everywhere she goes. She is a shining ambassador for Any Baby Can. Well deserved!,” says Guillermo Lopez, Early Childhood Intervention Senior Director.
A team player and advocate for early intervention and the clients she serves, Isabel is honored to accept the award, which she shares with the entire Any Baby Can family.
“Any Baby Can is my family. Without all of my colleagues, I would not be able to do what I do. We’re all invested, they give me so much energy. The love and passion of our staff feeds me. I want to share this honor with everyone I work with!” says Isabel.
