Promoting Mental Health for the Whole Family

At least 1 in every 5 individuals will experience symptoms of a mental health disorder in their lifetime. It’s estimated that 25% of all children experience mental health needs before the age of 18. For families facing a medical need, developmental delay or seeking parental support, circumstances can be even more stressful. Any Baby Can offers family mental health services from licensed, bilingual, home-based counselors to help families overcome difficult times.

No Estás Solo

Mom and babyNo Estás Solo (NES), which means “you are not alone” in Spanish, is a counseling program offered to Any Baby Can clients who currently receive our home visitation services. Our counselors create a safe space to explore and process life’s challenges with the support of a licensed therapist, including parenting, relationships, family dynamics, major life changes, sadness, worry, stress, self-esteem, grief, loss and more.

NES Provides:

  • Home-based, in-person, short-term mental health services

  • Screening, risk-assessment, psychosocial assessment and counseling sessions

  • Individual, group, family and couples counseling

  • Weekly or bi-monthly sessions at the client’s home or other safe space

  • Specialized maternal mental health for clients who are pregnant or have a child younger than 18 months old

  • Tools and treatment to improve daily life, including relaxation and mindfulness tools, cognitive behavior exercises, self-care, communication skills and resource referrals

  • English and Spanish speaking counselors available

Eligibility Criteria:

NES services are offered to any client or household member, at any time, should they feel they need additional emotional support.

  • Must be currently enrolled in a program with Any Baby Can, and expected to remain with Any Baby Can for at least two months after counseling begins.

  • Household members of a parent or child enrolled in Any Baby Can services are also eligible.

  • We use a sliding scale to determine the cost of sessions, and accept some types of insurance. Cost will not keep you from receiving counseling.

If you’re an Any Baby Can client who feels like you need extra support, contact us or talk with your nurse or caseworker about NES counseling services.
