Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation
Any Baby Can’s mental health consultants work with you to create a plan that addresses children’s emotional and behavioral needs.
What is childhood mental health consultation?
Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) is a preventive approach to childhood mental health that pairs a trained consultant with adults who work with infants and young children. IECMHC consultants work in different settings like childcare centers, schools, home visiting programs and more.

Why address childhood mental health so early on?
Mental health consultation is not therapy. By working with teachers, providers and caregivers, our consultants create a plan that supports the emotional and behavioral needs of an individual child. With this customized support, families see improvements in their relationships, stress levels and challenging behaviors.
You get:
- Support with tantrums, separation anxiety or transitions.
- Tips and tools for parenting young children.
- Guidance on developmental concerns.
- Help building routines at home and school
- A supportive ear—because parenting is hard sometimes!
We can meet in person, over the phone, or via video.
