SERVICES AND RESOURCES

Ensuring that parents are connected to community support helps them overcome challenges and puts families on the path to success in terms of their child’s lifelong health and development.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Child is 0-5 years old and lives in Travis or Williamson County.
  • Services are free for families, no matter their income level, and translation services may be used to ensure communication is not a barrier.

Services

  • Education and direct services for families with children under age 5.
  • Consolidated coordination between local early education, parent support and financial wellness organizations.
  • Access to basic needs with everything from baby supplies to financial empowerment classes.
  • English- and Spanish-speaking case managers as needed.

HOPES NONPROFIT PARTNERS

These organizations provide families with resources to increase their knowledge and skills, and positively support their children's health, safety and development.

Any Baby Can is a nonprofit organization that provides child development, family health and parent support services in Austin and surrounding counties. With in-home services for children facing a scary diagnosis, first-time moms, and parents who need extra support to take on life’s challenges, Any Baby Can is a partner for families when times get tough.

Any Baby Can serves as the fiscal and contract holder for the HOPES collaborative.

Play to Learn is a free, bilingual school-readiness program for children ages 2 to 4 and their caregivers! Families enjoy fun, hands-on activities designed to build early learning skills and confidence. Each family also receives resources, materials, books, and a device loaded with PBS KIDS educational apps to help keep the learning going at home.

Food Access:
El Buen operates a drive-through food pantry providing groceries and fresh produce every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-10AM. Diapers are distributed the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Our mobile food pantry offers food assistance in several locations in Central Texas. Please visit our website elbuen.org/food to learn more.

Benefits Assistance:
El Buen provides navigation support with application and renewal assistance for various benefits including SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, and more. Call us to schedule an appointment at 512-559-6534 or email us at health@elbuen.org.

Family Planning:
El Buen provides bilingual, bicultural, and confidential reproductive life planning services to individuals of reproductive age. Our Community Health Workers provide education, outreach, and referrals for family planning services including access to emergency contraception and non-prescription birth control. Through HOPES, Financial Health Pathways offers parents bilingual workshops that make money management simple, supportive, and empowering. Families learn how to organize their bills, track income and spending, build strong credit, and safeguard their finances using CFPB-backed tools. Each session helps parents reduce stress and move closer to financial stability and confidence.
