Our Benefit Concert Heroes
The COVID-19 pandemic hit Austin just two weeks before our annual Benefit Concert fundraiser. Priorities quickly shifted to ensuring families continued to receive services and support while prioritizing the well-being of our staff, clients and supporters. With the cancellation of our concert, we began checking in on our sponsors.
Despite the uncertain and stressful time, their responses provided profound encouragement. Our supporters asked about our families, our staff, and our work. They were as concerned as we were, and open to the flexibility that this new landscape would require.
These partners, choosing to stand by our mission and client families, committed their sponsorships. Their tremendous generosity made it possible for our staff to quickly and creatively pivot, to date conducting over 6,000 virtual visits and classes, serving nearly 2,000 families since mid-March!
In addition, several sponsors, like Endeavor Real Estate Group and AQUILA Commercial, sent volunteer teams to prepare and distribute meals to hundreds of our client families! Jay Lamy, Principal at AQUILA, who is a long-time supporter, board member, concert sponsor and corporate partner, enthusiastically captures the passion of AQUILA’s commitment to our families and this community.
"AQUILA loves this city wholeheartedly. We take great pride and joy in being able to support an organization that does so much for the parents, children, and families in our community," says Mr. Lamy.
Many of the families we serve experience challenging medical needs. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas has collaborated with Any Baby Can for more than 20 years, most recently becoming a Mission Partner, the highest level of corporate partnership, significantly supporting our work with unrestricted funding. Sandy Martinez Nava, Sr. Supervisor of Community Outreach, has been a true ambassador for our families.
"I have worked with Any Baby Can for 20 years now, making sure clients are aware of all the great resources Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas can offer families. As a Community Advisory Board member, I have been able to share more of the great work Any Baby Can offers to others, and have more pride in being part of a company that has become a Mission Partner. I am truly honored to work with such a caring organization," adds Ms. Martinez Nava.
As a premier healthcare organization in Austin, we’re especially thankful for the frontline heroes going above and beyond. This also includes Superior HealthPlan, the Presenting Sponsor of our concert, whose ongoing support demonstrates their commitment to serving this community.
One of our newer corporate partners and sponsors, Greater Texas Credit Union is also committed to empowering families.
"We have continued our corporate sponsorship during the COVID-19 pandemic because it is vital that organizations who provide support and resources to our community continue to have the operating funds to do so. At Greater Texas Credit Union we believe that every child deserves to have a strong and supportive family, especially during times of uncertainty. Like Any Baby Can we believe in empowering families to achieve the best possible outcomes. It is important now, more than ever, to support the communities where we live."
We couldn’t agree more! These corporations and individuals are Any Baby Can’s personal heroes who are helping keep our services open and accessible. Their generosity is undeniably one of the powerful forces behind our work and our families’ successes.
A community that comes together during difficult times comes out stronger. This year our event theme was celebrating clients’ “I Can!” spirit. Our amazing sponsors have proven that together “We Can!”
Thanks to our video sponsor, Heritage Title, we were able to produce six beautiful and moving stories showing the “I can!” spirit of our clients and supporters.
Thank you to all of our 2020 Benefit Concert sponsors!
Together, we’re partnering with families to build stability, develop skills, and unlock each child’s full potential.
